“Each view is a postcard!”

The iconic Miami Golden Girls house! Every care and worry melts away when the theme music plays and this house comes into view. “Each view is a postcard, each day a great time! It’s the cream of the crop, it’s the top of the line! Miami, Miami you’ve got style! Blue skies, sunshine, white sand by the mile!”

“You ate my sensible meal!”-Blanche Devereaux

The Golden Girls kitchen is one of the most well known and cozy in all of television. It’s titled “You ate my sensible meal” in honor of Blanche having a melt-down after Rose drank her shake and ate her tuna quiche.

Blanche’s Boudoir

I painted this in almost one sitting, with what Blanche may have described with “unbridled passion!” Blanches boudoir is the stuff of legend!

Golden Girls living room

The “I’d rather you shot Lester” vase is still intact here! The original painting was 11”x 16” acrylic on canvas and painted without any of the girls in it because I wanted to capture the familiar feeling about their house. Anyone can look at this and feel right at home.

Golden Girls Lannai

I never knew what a lannai was until the Golden Girls. Picture it!

“If the Egyptians could build the pyramids then we can move this toilet”-Rose Nylind

Remember when Rose and Dorothy took on their own bathroom remodel and we got to see this! It only appeared in this episode, but it left an impression and I had to paint it.

Golden Girls fruit painting

This is a painting of the painting that is hanging in their kitchen next to the yellow landline phone. It took several viewings and pausing for screenshots to get a good reference photo to paint from.

“I get the rose”-Rose Nylind

This is the only painting in my Golden Girl series which includes a figure. The other rooms were painted without any of the girls in order to capture the familiar feel of their house that most Golden Girl fans experience. This one was different because it is from the flashback to Rose’s St Olaf kitchen, not the iconic Miami kitchen. This scene makes me cry every. time. EVERY. time. Betty White was at her finest talking to her deceased husband Charlie on her first birthday since his passing.
